Family Fun Night "A Movie in the Park"  August-2005  in Liberty Park, this is our most recent event, we want to bring this community a sense of pride and encourage events that bring families out to enjoy the day and see what our hamlet can offer.   This event was made possible by a Grant from our Presiding Officer Legislator Joe Caracappa and a special thanks to the Town of Brookhaven Councilwoman Geraldine Esposito and the Town of Brookhaven's Parks Department.  The pictures are of our community enjoying the evening and civic board who worked all night President DebbieDattilo- Felber, Vice President Sandy DiPiazza, Recording Secretary Debbie DeStasio and Corresponding Secretary Kathy Walsh also joining us were Peter DeStasio and Dave Felber our Treasurer Laurie Lenox was not able to join us.

Meeting September 27, 2004

We have a tradition of presenting our Boys and Girls from the local scouting troops to start our meetings with the pledge, here is Wolf Cub Scouts, troop 385.

Meeting Senator Hilary Clinton

As a civic representative I attended a Broadwater Conference in Shoreham-Wading River with many other civic leaders in Brookhaven and Suffolk County. I had an opportunity to meet NY Senator Hillary Clinton.

Civic Pride Family Picnic Day

took place on August 22, 2004 at Liberty Ave.Park, this park was dedicated to our past SC Legislator Rose Caracappa, present SC Legislative Representative and Presiding Officer Joseph Caracappa, Town of Brookhaven Councilwoman Geraldine Esposito, Marvin Adler SCYA Board member.

Meeting March 29, 2004

Here is a meeting that was started with the pledge by Troup 385 once again special thanks to our local scout troups for giving us your valueable time.

Meeting April 19, 2004

Our pledge was given by Girl Scout Troup 1107. We appreciate our local troups for giving us help in our meetings each month.

First Tree and Menorah Lighting

December 15, 2004, with much help and thanks to the Town of Brookhaven Parks Department and our Councilwoman Geraldine Esposito. We had hot chocolate and coffee served and donated by our Selden Starbucks. Also a visit by a special visitor in red suit who gave out candycanes.

Selden Civic Parade

We sponsored a parade with help of our Selden Fire Department. In May of 2005 we had our first Memorial Day Parade, this was our way of saying thank you to those men and women that gave so much of their own lifes to keep all us safe and secure. Thank you and we are so proud of all you do for us.

Second year- recognize our two elected representatives Presiding Officer and Suffolk County Legislator, Joesph Caracppa and Town of Brookhaven Councilwoman, Geraldine Esposito, they have helped our civic grow to what we are today by giving us the necessary funding through grants and assistanace to be a successful community organization. Thank you.

Recognizing a volunteer that goes above and beyond. Carol LeMaire is a member of the community that has worked for many hours giving to our community in many ways. Carol work getting raffle gifts, food donations for our first Family Pride Picnic in the Park, PTA, her church and a scouting leader. Thank you Carol you are a special perosn.

Save the Earth Day

Ms. Draggo has been the club leader and stated the Save the Earth Club at Hawkins Path Elementary School almost 15 years ago. We were joined by her club students. We thank her for helping the environment and our community.

Our Holiday Tree once we finished our plantings. We planted red and white impatience around the tree and assorted bulbs around the gazeebo we hope that we can keep planting flowers each year for you and you children to enjoy.
